Reed Diffuser Care
Reed diffusers produce a continuous scent in your home, they’re long lasting and it is the perfect option for people who want a flameless fragrance for their home. It is important to note that the scent produced by reed diffusers is not as strong as a candle.
Directions of use –
Remove the plug from the vessel
- Place reeds in vessel, allow them to sit for 10 minutes to absorb the diffuser oil
- After 10 minutes, flip the reeds
- Enjoy your diffuser!
- To refresh the fragrance of the diffuser, simply flip the reeds, we recommend doing this every 2 weeks, but you can do it as often as you like! Please note if this is done more frequently, it will reduce the lifespan of your diffuser.

What are reed diffusers & how do they work?
Reed diffusers are a home fragrance product that allow aroma to continuously diffuse into the air without any heat or electrical source. No flame means no soot, and more importantly, no risk of fire. This makes diffusers a safe option for your home, office, bathroom, or anywhere you want to smell good!
Each reed absorbs the oil, naturally dispersing the scent into the air through evaporation.
What are our reeds made out of?
Our reeds are made with high-quality natural coloured fibre. Measuring at 3mm in diameter and 200mm in length in bundles of 8 sticks.
Can I re-use my reeds?
No! Once the reeds have absorbed a certain scent, they cannot be used for another scent. If you want to change scents, or you notice your reeds are clogged with dust, we recommend replacing your reeds. Lucky we have you covered & we do sell reeds separately.
How much oil do I put in the bottle?
Our diffusers will safely hold up to 125ml of diffuser oil. We recommend filling it up ¾ of the way, just to reduce the risk of spilling if they get bumped, but it is totally up to you!
How often should I flip the reeds?
We recommend every 2 weeks. If you notice the fragrance fading, or want an extra burst of fragrance you can definitely do it more often. Just be aware that it may reduce the life span of your diffuser.
How often should I replace the reeds?
If you flip your reeds, and notice that they are no longer producing fragrance, they are probably over saturated or clogged with dust and in need of replacement.
What do I do if the bottle is not empty, but the scent doesn’t seem to be diffusing?
Flip the reeds over, exposing the ‘wet end’ into the air. Repositioning your reeds will help to kick-start the diffusion process, however, don’t flip too often. Sometimes the reeds become completely saturated with oil and overtime, can become clogged. If you find that flipping the reeds doesn’t help, that means it’s time for some new reeds.
How many reeds should I use?
It’s a matter of preference, more reeds means more scent. We find that 8 is the magic number.
Where should I position my new reed diffuser?
Try placing your diffuser away from air conditioning or vents, and see if the scent is sufficient for your own personal preference. You can position them near a source of airflow such as a vent, window or fan which will help the fragrance spread faster throughout the room. The downside of this, is that it will decrease the life span of your diffuser as the oil dissipates at a faster rate.
My reed diffuser is too strong, is there anything I can do?
If you find that the fragrance emitted by your reed diffuser is too strong, simply remove some of the reeds. The less reeds in the bottle, the slower the oil will dissipate throughout the room.
Car Diffuser –
Our diffusers are the perfect way to freshen up your car with your favourite scent. They provide a long-lasting aroma that will allow you to have your favourite scent everywhere you go. They can also be used for any small space like a laundry or a cupboard.
You can expect to get anywhere from 2-3+ months out of your diffuser, depending on how often it is moved around, and weather conditions, as warmer weather will encourage faster evaporation.
The car diffuser bottle holds 10mls of scent.
Tips –
Keep out of direct sunlight for slower evaporation.
For a scent boost, turn the bottle upside down several times.
Care & Use Guide
Remove the cork and bung from the bottle.
Ensure the lid is screwed on correctly, then turn the bottle upside down several times until the cork is sufficiently soaked.
Enjoy your diffuser.
